The programme helps children learn problem-solving skills and new ways of processing feelings and emotions Children learn to listen to adults, manage their emotions, play with peers, and gain the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.  

 

The programme also helps children acquire the skills necessary to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond/ provide a strong foundation for their formal education, improving chances of future academic success, as well as improving skills needed to succeed in the home and other community settings.

 

The programme promotes self-esteem, cooperative behaviours, and the ­constructive expression of feelings, as well as developmental growth in language, cognition, motor, and ­self-help skills.  As a result, Children show improved cognitive skills, social competence, and emotion regulation, reduced behaviours that are challenging, to function in a regular classroom after they have attended the EIC developmental preschool programme
